Rest of the candidates from science and arts streams are eligible for round I admission by counselling as per the schedule on July 4 to 6 at Gurunanak Bhavan and Pharmacy department respectively for counselling and allotment procedure respectively. The rejected candidates have to visit the university’s Gram Geeta Bhavan of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Educational Campus for submission of grievances on July 1 till 5pm. Post that, the grievances won’t be accepted.
The merit list and counselling schedule for the rejected candidates will then be displayed on July 3. The science stream has thus received good response from the students as compared to those for the arts. GS Khadekar, committee-in-charge, said, “The candidates were rejected because they did not submit all documents related to admission of documents. On July 1, if they come up with their grievances and the required documents within the stipulated time, they will be accepted for next process”.
"A committee consisting of six experts has been set up which will categorize 35 courses under the jurisdiction of the university into three groups. This includes science, humanities, and interdisciplinary studies. 150 observers will be posted at various colleges to oversee the process”, Khadekar added.
Spot admissions will begin at the departmental level against vacant seats. A few seats will be reserved for spot applicants of Gondwana University, Gadchiroli, as their results have been delayed.
